New Town New Job

My adventure in California has officially begun!  I just moved to Santa Clara from Minneapolis, MN.  I am going into my senior year at the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN.  I decided that I wanted to try a new city on for size and ended up finding an internship in Palo Alto, CA for the summer.  About a week ago me and my dad started on our road trip to the west coast.  We stopped in some very beautiful places including Laramie, WY; Park City, UT; Truckee, CA.  The trip was surprisingly very beautiful, and fun despite the books on tape my dad made us listen to. haha.

Arriving in California was an exciting and nervous experience. Even as I was excited for new experiences, friends, work, trouble, and some fun; I was pretty worried about how everything would pan out in such an unfamiliar place.  California and the Midwest might as well be different countries, the differences are huge.  Settling into my new apartment and getting in touch with some friends made things feel a lot more comfortable.  Even though I am in an unfamiliar environment and out of my comfort zone I feel really great about the summer, and will learn a lot and experience something new.
